The Jammu and Kashmir Service Selection Board (JKSSB) has received an indent from Home Department for filling up vacancies under direct recruitment for JKP Constable 2024. The candidates seeking to apply for these posts shall be domiciles of union territory of Jammu and Kashmir. Including this, they must posses a valid domicile certificate as on the last date of online application forms i.e; 29.08.2024. Candidates must have passed matriculation (10th pass) from any board or institute. Along with it, the aspirants must have 18 years of age and must not exceed 28 years of age as on closing date of application. Education Qualification:-

• The candidates must have passed matriculation (10th pass) from any board or institute.
• Candidates may note that their candidature/ admission in examination will remain provisional till the genuineness of their documents is verified.

Age Limit:-

The requirement of age for applying against these posts as on 01.01.2024. For open merit and various reserved categories candidates, shall be as under;

Application Fee:-

• Fee Payable: Rs. 700/- (Rupees Seven Hundred Only)
• In case of candidates belonging to SC,ST-1, ST-2 and EWS category, the fee payable shall be Rs. 600/- (Six Hundred Only).
• Fee can be paid through online mode.

JKP Constable Exam Pattern:-

• The examination will consist of objective type multiple choice questions. The questions will be set in English Language only.
• There will be negative marking for each wrong answer to the extent of one fourth of marks.

JKP Constable Physical Standard Test:-

The candidates shall be shortlist for appearing in the Physical Standard Test on the basis of written test. The candidates must meet the following physical standards;

For Males:-

• Height: 5’6″ (minimum)
• Chest girth: 32″ (unexpanded)
• Chest girth 33½” (expanded)

For Females:-

• Height 5′-2″ (minimum)

Relaxation in Physical Standard:-

• The candidates belonging to Gorkha Community and Bot Tribe, the minimum height shall be relax by 2″.

JKP Constable Physical Endurance Test:-

The candidates who meet the above Physical Standards Test shall be required to undergo physical endurance test, which shall consist of the following;

For Males Candidates:-

• Long Race: 1000 meters in 6½ minutes
• Pushups: 20 (one cycle of up and down to be counted as one)

For Female Candidates:-

• Long Race: 1000 meters in 6½ minutes.
• Shot put (4 kgs) 14½ feet in three attempts

For Ex- Servicemen:-

The ex servicemen will qualify physical endurance test as per the following related criteria;

Age	Long Race (1600 mtrs)- Male	Push ups (one cycle of up to be counted as one)- Male	Long Race (1000 mtrs)- Female	Shot put (4 kgs) in three attempts – Female
